Naga City is fondly called the Maogmang Lugar by the residents for various reasons - food being one of them. But sometimes it gets too tiring to go to our favorite food spots because of forces both beyond and within our control - traffic, rain, good-ol'-laziness, unholy hours when hunger strikes (guilty!), emergency food for unannounced guests, and whatnot.

So, for times when you're in the mood for some grub but too comfy already in your pambahay sando, shorts, and slippers - dial away!

Disclaimer: The location and delivery numbers from some menus lifted from the online directory munchpunch.com may not be for Naga City. I reckon that since the restaurants are also located nationwide, the menu and prices are likely the same. The Search for the Best Kinalas in Town

Naga is well-known for its Laing, Pili nuts, and Pinangat. But there is another 'delicacy', unknown to many tourists - the Kinalas.

It is called such because of the sauce that comes from either a cow's or pig's head, which is boiled until the flesh falls off. It is similar to log-log, except for the thick brown sauce.

Believe it or not, I only got to eat Kinalas this year - but I was instantly a fan! So, I'm asking my friends to bring me to the best Kinalas haunts in the city.

So far, my favorite is Kinalas Twin along Dayangdang Street. They have puto and chicharon for sale. They are more complete compared to other eateries, that's why I like frequenting the place. Plus, they could give you extra sauce if you request for it. I think the big kinalas with egg is worth around P31 while the small kinalas is probably worth around P23.

I like adding chicharon and vinegar with lots of sili to my kinalas. Just like any person from Bicol - I like my food spicy. What is your recommended timpla?

My next stop is Enteng's along Diversion Road. I have heard good reviews of their kinalas but I hear their kinalas is best during mornings. I hope they have baduya. I haven't eaten kinalas with it yet. They say that is the best pairing, kinalas and baduya.

Oh, a little warning: kinalas is rich in cholesterol, so eating it many times in a week is discouraged. :-)

Hello world.

This is my first foray into the world of blogging - so bear with me here.

The love for my hometown, Naga City, served as my inspiration for starting this website. I will mostly write about all the things that make "4400" one of the best cities in the Philippines - the sites, the food, the people.

I might include some stuff that are not, in any ways, related to my humble city. But I promise, I'll keep things interesting.
